- Deliver technical input into IT and business change projects
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex network and firewall issues
- Contribute to system documentation, network diagrams, and process improvements
- Engage in the move towards network automation and Infrastructure as Code
The Person:
This role is best suited to a Network Infrastructure Engineer with a solid foundation in Cisco networking, cloud networking (preferably Azure), and a desire to broaden their expertise into areas like automation and DevOps.
You should be confident taking ownership of technical issues and implementing stable, secure, and scalable solutions.
Required Experience
- Solid hands-on experience with Cisco routers, switches (Catalyst/Nexus), and SD-WAN
- Strong knowledge of routing protocols (OSPF, BGP)
- Experience with Palo Alto firewalls (Panorama / PAN-OS)
- Comfortable with Cisco ISE and 802.1x
- Working knowledge of Azure networking (e.g., VNets, NLB, ExpressRoute, routing)
- Experience resolving BAU issues and supporting project-based delivery
- Excellent documentation and communication skills
Desirable experience:
- Familiarity with Python or Ansible for scripting and automation
- Experience with SolarWinds (NPM/APM/NetFlow)
- Awareness of ITIL practices
- Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or AZ-700 are advantageous but not essential
Why Apply:
- Work in a stable, low-incident environment with a clear roadmap for improvement
- Hybrid working (1–2 days on-site) with flexible arrangements
- Gain exposure to modern technologies and automation tooling
- Company culture focused on collaboration, support, and learning
