As Stores Assistant, you will assist with planning and managing stock levels for all stores inventory items, ensuring efficient stock layout, maximising space utilisation, and maintaining robust operating procedures, including stock control, internal requisitions, and efficient delivery services to depots and sites. You will collaborate with the procurement team to ensure compliance with purchase ordering and receipting rules.
You will verify the quality and quantity of deliveries received, ensure remote staff follow procedures, and negotiate with suppliers regarding damage reports and invoice queries.
You will observe and enforce safe working practices within stores and depot environments, complying with legislation such as COSHH Regulations, Health and Safety, and procurement best practices. You will maintain accurate stores documentation, including computerised records and local systems.
You will process data, generate reports, provide localised training, and support storekeepers and staff within the depot and stores environment.
