A leading healthcare institution in London is seeking a DRE Data Scientist to assist in data analysis and development of analytical tools. The role involves working with clinical and operational teams to enhance data-driven insights and improve hospital processes. Job summary
As a DRE Data Scientist, the post holder will assist the DRE team in the analyses and development of analytical tools utilising GOSH electronic patient record (EPR) data and data from other sources. As a core member of the DRE, the post holder will work with partner project teams (clinical and non-clinical) to explore clinical and operational processes in the hospital using data-driven methods to gather and disseminate insights through meetings and reports. As part of the role, the data scientist is also involved in providing data, analytics, and statistical support to those in the Trust conducting research projects as part of the DRE Open Support sessions.
Main duties of the jobThe post-holder will work on the development and use of common data models such as the OHDSI OMOP to support the Senior Data Scientist and Data Engineering colleagues working on clinical research and operational analytics across multiple sites both in the UK and abroad, leveraging our research and federated analytics platforms. They will also work to continuously improve current DRE processes surrounding reproducible analytical pipelines (RAP), analytical reporting and workflows, and work to improve their skills and knowledge to deepen their involvement in the hospital and research community.
