Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled HR advisor to gain experience at a senior advisor level by working alongside a talented and knowledgeable HR team.

The post-holder will take ownership of a varied caseload, support organisational change, and will need good time management and prioritisation skills. Ideally, fully CIPD qualified, you will thrive on delivering a professional, customer-focused HR service that supports the Trust's vision and values.

The post holder will be responsible for providing a comprehensive range of employment services as the first point of contact for service areas within the Trust and offer advice across the Trust as appropriate in the absence of colleagues.

While this position is advertised as full-time, applications from those seeking part-time opportunities (30 hours per week) are welcome.

Main duties of the job

• Provide professional advice to managers on complex people matters in line with policies, procedures, employment legislation, and best practices, ensuring high-quality, efficient, and cost-effective services.
• Support managers with investigations, including grievances, disciplinary issues, and bullying and harassment cases.
• Assist with complex sickness absence cases.
• With support from the HR Partner, act as the main contact for managers in delivering organisational change processes and service redesign, including job design, redeployment, redundancy, TUPE transfers, etc. This involves analysing statistics, identifying trends, and making recommendations.
• Develop and maintain effective relationships with colleagues, staff side representatives, and managers at all levels to support operational plans and objectives.
• Contribute to fostering RDaSH's desired culture within the team and wider organisation.
• Support the HR Partner by supervising a HR Advisor or Associate HR Advisor, conducting 121s, appraisals, return-to-work interviews, and providing daily support.
• Advise on the implementation and interpretation of national and local agreements and the impact of changes in employment legislation.
