Job description

Building Careers is currently working with one of the largest social housing contractors in the Northwest. Due to increased workload, they are seeking a Site Manager to lead a team of operatives in delivering quality repairs to their clients.

About the Role:

This position is responsible for managing a team, ensuring repairs are completed within specified timescales and to high standards. The ideal candidate will have managerial experience in day-to-day repairs and maintenance. This is a great opportunity to work within an ambitious company with opportunities for career progression.

The role is office-based with site visits across Cheshire and Greater Manchester, working 40 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Oversee operational and financial management of daily repairs.
  2. Lead and meet KPIs and performance targets.
  3. Forecast and implement performance measurements to meet contract objectives.
  4. Manage the safe delivery of repairs.
  5. Monitor project performance and delivery.
  6. Manage subcontractors and out-of-hours maintenance activities.
  7. Implement improvement plans for service delivery.
  8. Ensure health and safety compliance across all projects.
  9. Manage staff, including inductions and team management.
Essential Requirements:
  • Full driving license.
  • Previous site management experience in planned maintenance programs.
  • Effective organization and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent communication and people skills.
  • SMSTS qualification.
  • First Aid Certificate.
  • Proven leadership skills in property maintenance and refurbishment teams.
