Job Title: Maintenance Support at Ashlynn Grange Care Home

As a Maintenance Support at Ashlynn Grange Care Home, you will be responsible for ensuring all checks are complete and maintaining a safe environment for residents, team members, and visitors while upholding a high quality of service within the home.

About Ashlynn Grange Care Home

Ashlynn Grange is an exceptional 153-bed care home located in Peterborough. The home is renowned for its surrounding gardens, which feature flowers and a variety of vegetables. The level of care provided is outstanding, with staff engaging residents in a full programme of activities and live performances on our outdoor stage. Our newly refurbished café offers residents and visitors a selection of fresh tea, coffee, and cakes daily.

About The Role

The Maintenance Support will work closely with the Maintenance Operative to manage and ensure a safe and pleasant environment for all residents and staff. You will collaborate with wider teams to provide strong leadership and inspiration, ensuring the highest service standards are achieved.

Salary

£12.21 per hour

Shift Pattern

35 hours per week, on a rota basis from Monday to Sunday.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

1. Ensure that the decoration of the home is maintained to the highest standard, with timely resolution of snagging items.
2. Perform minor repairs and plumbing tasks promptly.
3. Manage the maintenance of the refuse area and oversee the removal of clinical waste and rubbish.
4. Maintain and repair electrical equipment and boiler systems as required.
5. Conduct weekly, monthly, and annual tests of equipment and systems within the home.

Training, Skills & Experience Required

1. Experience in a similar maintenance role is essential.
2. Proficiency in Microsoft Office packages.
3. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
