Pre-Contract Commercial Manager

? Remote-Based | ? Up to £75,000 | ? Facilities Management / Built Environment

Boden Group are partnering with a market-leading organisation to recruit a Pre-Contract Commercial Manager to join their expanding commercial team. This is a remote-based opportunity offering autonomy, flexibility, and a clear progression path within a forward-thinking business.

The Role

This is a key role within the commercial function, responsible for leading the pre-contract commercial strategy on a range of complex bids and tenders across the FM and built environment sectors. Working closely with bid, operational, and finance teams, you’ll ensure commercial solutions are robust, competitive, and aligned with the company's growth objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the commercial input into bids, tenders, and new business opportunities
  • Develop and review pricing models, cost plans, and contractual terms
  • Engage with operational and technical teams to align pricing strategies with deliverable solutions
  • Manage commercial risk and ensure compliance with internal governance and client requirements
  • Negotiate pre-contract terms with suppliers and subcontractors
  • Provide detailed commercial analysis and support to senior stakeholders during the bid process
  • Maintain strong market awareness to ensure competitiveness and innovation in bid submissions

About You

  • Proven experience in a pre-contract or commercial role within the FM, construction, or built environment sectors
  • Strong understanding of pricing, cost modelling, and contract terms (NEC, JCT, etc.)
  • Ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously and work to tight deadlines
  • Confident communicator with strong stakeholder management skills
  • FM sector experience is desirable, but not essential
