Pre-Construction Manager – Building Services & Infrastructure

Location: Based near Derby (with travel)

Salary: Up to £75,000 + car allowance + private healthcare + excellent benefits

Job Type: Permanent, full-time

This is not your average estimating role. It’s a unique opportunity to shape how complex engineering projects are won and delivered within a growing infrastructure team.

We’re looking for a Pre-Construction Manager who understands MEP services inside and out—but also has the people skills to walk into a room, speak confidently with clients, and win their trust.

You’ll split your time across estimating oversight (working alongside experienced technical estimators), bid writing (bringing submissions to life and winning work through insight and clarity), and business development (visiting clients, exploring new sectors, and expanding long-term partnerships)

The business is investing heavily in growth and venturing into new sectors including energy, rail, and secure infrastructure. You’ll work nationally (mainly Midlands and Southeast) with 1–2 days/week in the Derby office.

This is not a remote role - it needs someone who thrives face-to-face.

You'll also take ownership of your own sales pipeline, using a CRM system to track, develop and report on opportunities from early engagement through to contract win.
