Job Description

Turner & Townsend leads in professional services for Data Centres, Life Sciences, Pharma, R&D facilities, Industrial, Manufacturing, Distribution & Logistics sectors globally.

Job Objectives

As an experienced Project Controls Professional in manufacturing, construction, or engineering, you will establish processes, templates, and tools, and set the baseline for cost and schedule. You will monitor performance, considering risks, opportunities, and changes. Your responsibilities include:

  • Identifying trends and root causes of deviations, recommending remedial actions to maximize client value.
  • Evaluating project time, cost, and quality targets, applying governance controls for successful delivery.
  • Collaborating with remote cost managers to establish market-tested cost baselines and ensure value for money.
  • Guiding and influencing general contractors to adhere to schedules and cash flow parameters.
  • Serving as the primary client contact to address delivery and commercial issues, and preparing reports on time, cost, and quality.
  • Controlling costs with knowledge of conceptual estimating, funding stage gates, contingency, and procurement principles.
  • Creating or managing cost reports and dashboards for executive review.
  • Leading change management processes, including adding, tracking, monitoring, and approving changes.
  • Coordinating planning sessions to develop and agree on project schedules and critical paths.
  • Managing procurement schedules, communicating priorities, and defining vendor requirements.
  • Participating in risk evaluations, incorporating risks into Monte Carlo analyses for cost and schedule impacts.
  • Monitoring project changes and communicating updates for approval processes.
  • Ensuring vendors provide timely schedule updates, maintaining schedule integrity and quality standards.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in project controls across all project phases, including program, risk, and reporting, with sector-specific expertise.
  • Ability to analyze data and recommend corrective actions based on facts and figures.
  • Advanced skills in MS Office and Primavera P6.
  • Commitment to excellent service delivery.
  • Reliability, autonomy, and teamwork skills.
  • Strong time management, quick thinking, and deadline orientation.
  • Motivated, driven, and capable of independent work.
