Job description

IT Support Engineer - Entry Level, Southampton

This role involves working in the IT department, primarily managing the return of various IT equipment such as mobile phones, laptops, radios, and body cameras. The position also includes liaising with third-party suppliers for equipment orders and checking incident reports.

The key result areas are as follows:

1. Provide excellent customer support to the force's user base, minimizing service disruptions.
2. Coordinate onboarding of new starters to meet experience level agreements.
3. Troubleshoot and resolve EUD incidents, requests, and problems within SLA, identifying patterns and proactively addressing issues.
4. Update documentation and knowledge articles as needed.
5. Support scheduling of moves, projects, and events.
6. Follow asset management and governance processes.
7. Identify and suggest service improvements within the EUD service delivery.
8. Deliver services aligned with KPIs, User Experience Agreements, and SLAs.

The knowledge and skills required:

1. Strong customer service ethos.
2. Ability to follow documented procedures and processes.
3. Troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
4. Good communication skills.
5. Ability to travel across different locations; a full UK driving license is essential.
6. Experience in ICT operational delivery.
