The Team

Our multi-disciplinary Real Estate Finance team has extensive experience advising banks, building societies, and other funders, including property investors and developers. We are one of the largest teams in the West Midlands, with around 30 specialists in Islamic finance alone. We advise on development finance, facility letters, guarantees, investment finance, loan book management, LPA receivership, priority/subordination deeds, security documents, and short-term lending.

The Role

You will work as part of a team to provide administrative support, helping our legal teams deliver excellent service to our clients.

Department: Shakespeare Martineau - Finance & Restructuring - Real Estate Finance

What You Will Be Doing
  1. Assisting partners and solicitors in producing high-quality legal services on a broad range of work.
  2. Archiving, storing, and retrieving documentation (electronic and paper).
  3. Assisting with opening and closing electronic files.
  4. Scheduling deeds.
  5. Handling Land Registry applications and searches.
  6. Submitting documentation to Companies House.
  7. Drafting and processing invoices and assisting with billing procedures.
  8. Maintaining post-completion spreadsheets.
  9. Assisting the Audit Manager with daily roles.
  10. Liaising with key clients regarding reports.
  11. Managing case management systems to audit and close files.
  12. Photocopying, scanning, faxing, printing, filing, and collating documentation.
What You Will Need

Skills and Experience:

  • Recent university graduate seeking to start a career in law.
  • Office administrative experience is a plus but not required.
  • Confidence with IT systems, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Good basic keyboard skills.
