Job Title: Associate Electronics PCB Design Engineer Ref. 956

Department: Engineering

Salary: £36,330 - £39,055

Job Description

Salary awarded is based on skills assessment at interview.

This role is available full-time for 37 hours per week, Monday-Friday, or part-time with a minimum coverage of 28 hours per week. Flexible or compressed working hours are available.

This role is office-based.

Responsibilities
  • Design, build, and test electronic circuits and printed circuit boards.
  • Join a product development team working on hardware products and security solutions.
  • Create and maintain electronic hardware for custom security products for partners domestically and internationally.
  • Modify existing designs and collaborate on new product and system designs.
  • Participate in training, external courses, and dedicate time to innovation and research.
Candidate Requirements

To apply, you should have:

  • Experience in designing and testing analogue, digital, and microcontroller-based systems.
  • Understanding of product and system design and development.
  • Relevant work experience or qualifications, such as an HND in electrical/electronic engineering.

Beneficial but not essential:

  • Further qualifications in electrical/electronic or mechanical engineering, or a degree with 2:2 or higher.
  • Experience with electronic schematic capture and PCB design.
  • Experience in RF design, EMC, and signal integrity.
  • Knowledge of PCB manufacturing processes.

Role Expectations

Engage in the full product development cycle, creating diverse designs and systems, collaborating with various partners and engineers. Be creative and committed to delivery and success.

  • Design, develop, and document high-standard electronic PCB systems.
  • Verify designs through tests and peer reviews.
  • Support products and investigate defects.
  • Contribute to library parts creation and project planning.
