IT Support Engineer (Northampton)

Bellrock is a technology-driven facilities and property management provider that has experienced rapid growth through organic development and mergers over recent years.

This role is based at our Northampton office and involves working as an IT Technician and Customer Service representative. We seek an enthusiastic individual with a passion for technology and excellent customer service skills to support our onsite and remote employees. You will be the sole IT employee at this site, serving as the first point of contact for all IT issues, while collaborating with the broader IT team across various locations.

The IT team supports over 1,500 users across multiple sites in England and Scotland. The ideal candidate will have a proactive attitude, excellent communication skills, and confidence under pressure.

The role is primarily office-based, five days a week, with occasional travel to other sites. Responsibilities include providing first and second-line IT support, assisting with recent acquisitions, and supporting hardware, software, audiovisual, and user needs onsite, as well as remote support for wider IT operations.

On-the-job training will be provided through mentoring and guidance from senior team members.

Responsibilities:
  1. Provide end-user IT support in person and over the phone.
  2. Log, prioritize, and resolve IT Service Desk tickets.
  3. Set up new user accounts, profiles, and Office 365 mailboxes.
  4. Troubleshoot and resolve issues with PCs, laptops, mobiles, conference equipment, printers, and other devices.
  5. Configure mobile and tablet devices via MDM platforms (Intune).
  6. Maintain the IT Asset Register.
  7. Install and configure operating systems and applications.
What does it take?

If you’re ready to energize our business and share in our success as an IT Support Engineer, you will need:

  1. Broad knowledge of IT systems.
  2. Basic network troubleshooting skills.
  3. Experience configuring Windows 11.
  4. Ability to troubleshoot hardware and software issues.
  5. Experience with computer imaging.
  6. Knowledge of Active Directory, Security groups, and Group Policy.
  7. Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, including Teams.
  8. Experience supporting audiovisual and conference equipment.
  9. Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an IT environment.
  10. 5 GCSEs grades A-C.
  11. ITIL and Microsoft certifications are advantageous.
  12. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  13. Strong time management skills.
  14. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Working arrangements

We support flexible working practices. The successful candidate will work at our Northampton office, NN4 7XD, Monday to Friday, 8:30-17:00, with potential for remote work where appropriate.
