Job description

Job Description

We are looking for a Social Media & Creative Copywriter with a Social First Approach to join our Marketing Studio team in London. The role is offered on a full-time, permanent basis.

This unique dual role combines creative writing and daily social media posting, with a focus on community and brand storytelling.

The position reports to the Marketing Director and is based in our East London Head Office.

As part of Miista’s dedication to the alternative, this role will help explain our “The Opposite Thing” concept through dialogue with our audience, in collaboration with our community.

The role involves expanding our story through Social Storytelling—highlighting our product personality, aesthetic, and Ethical European manufacturing practices.

We aim to showcase our curiosity in product experimentation and cultural references that inspire our designs. We believe that products with cultural context are desirable, not commodities. Miista is not a commodity.

Our environment is exciting but fast-paced. You should be a self-starter with initiative, ownership, and accountability. If you have the skills, this is a great time to join our Brand Marketing & Communications team.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Shape and improve social messages following Miista’s tone of voice, creating impactful copy that enhances our connection with customers, alongside curated images and videos for Instagram and TikTok.
  2. Manage daily social media posts on Instagram and TikTok, including participating in a rotating weekend schedule (without scheduling tools). Focus on social growth in engagement and followers.
  3. Understand the Miista brand and creative direction to translate them into social media content.
  4. Collaborate with Marketing, Editorial, Ecommerce, and Content teams to develop ideas and craft creative writing for campaigns.
  5. Use strategic storytelling to produce engaging copy that reflects Miista’s creative vision.
  6. Adapt your content across different channels and areas, including collections, community stories, sustainability messaging, etc.
  7. Assist in writing website copy and product descriptions for e-commerce, requiring product knowledge and training.

Ideal Candidate Requirements:

  • 2-3+ years of professional experience in creative writing/storytelling.
  • 2-3+ years of experience in social media posting.
  • Background in copywriting and creative concept development is a plus.
  • Journalistic writing experience is a plus.
  • Experience in image composition, photography, or editorial work is a plus.
  • Ability to share and sell ideas confidently within a team.
  • Strong relationship-building skills and collaborative mindset.
  • Existing network or experience within fashion, music, art, or influencer markets is preferred.
  • Passion for storytelling, brand development, slow fashion, and short supply chains.
  • Interest in social channels and real-life engagement.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects efficiently.

Please include a portfolio or work samples matching Miista’s tone of voice with your application.

Our Position: The Opposite Thing

Designed in London, made in Spain & Portugal, sourced within the EU.

Miista challenges exclusionary fashion practices, emphasizing craftsmanship, community, and a commitment to the alternative. We prioritize personality and aesthetic value over profit, embracing confidence and individuality.

We are an equal opportunities employer, valuing diversity and welcoming applicants from all backgrounds, regardless of race, nationality, religion, gender, or other protected characteristics.
