Job Title: Associate Electronics PCB Design Engineer Ref. 956

Department: Engineering

Salary: £36,330 - £39,055

Job description

Salary awarded is based on skills assessment at interview.

This role is available full-time for 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, or part-time with a minimum of 28 hours per week. Flexible or compressed working hours are available.

This role is office-based.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and test electronic circuits and printed circuit boards.
  • Join a product development team working on hardware products and security solutions.
  • Create and maintain electronic hardware for custom-designed security products.
  • Modify existing designs and collaborate on new product/system designs.
  • Receive training and support for career development, including external courses and innovation time.

Requirements:

  • Experience in design and testing of analogue, digital, and microcontroller-based systems.
  • Understanding of product and system design and development.
  • Relevant work experience or qualifications, equivalent to or a HND in electrical/electronic engineering.

Desirable but not essential:

  • Further qualifications in electrical/electronic or mechanical engineering (degree 2:2 or higher).
  • Experience in electronic schematic capture, PCB design, RF, EMC, and signal integrity.
  • Knowledge of PCB manufacturing processes.

What you will do:

  • Design, develop, and document electronic PCB systems.
  • Verify designs with tests and peer reviews.
  • Support products and investigate defects.
  • Contribute to library parts and project planning.
