Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Reinsurance Finance Operations Specialist to join our dynamic reinsurance team. In this role, you will manage and support the day-to-day operations of our controls, audit, and SII reporting, ensuring accurate reporting, and effective coordination between internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain Reinsurance SOX controls
• Perform control testing and analysis

Audit point of contact:

• Work with the internal audit team for all documents they need
• Work with external auditors and collect needed documents from the team

Maintain Reinsurance documentation:

• Continuously update and create Reinsurance policy documents
• Create all needed flow charts and diagrams

Solvency II reporting:

• Support financial reporting including quarterly and annual statutory statements
• Complete all the S30 forms

Process improvement:

• Actively contribute to strategic initiatives such as financial system implementations and executing our target operating model
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement best practices and enhance operational performance
• Perform analysis to support business growth

Stakeholder Coordination:

• Act as a liaison between departments
• Provide expertise to internal teams on controls and SII

Qualifications:

• Experienced finance professional with knowledge of US GAAP, insurance, and US Statutory Accounting Principles (preferred)
• Degree in Accounting or Finance
• CPA certification (preferred)
• Experience in a finance role within a global insurance company or agency (preferred)
• Experience implementing financial controls and testing
• Motivated, diligent, and conscientious
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Team player and independent worker
