About The Role

We’re on the lookout for an experienced and motivated corporate solicitor with significant experience in private equity backed acquisition and disposals to join our Legal team at Nucleus. This role offers an opportunity to be part of an ambitious team that promotes strong legal risk management and compliance throughout the group. Our Legal Counsel will support the wider business by reviewing transaction documentation for share acquisitions, drafting and negotiating contracts with third parties (including suppliers, outsource providers, and financial services firms). Collaborating across teams, you'll build relationships, promote engagement, and embed a culture of continuous process improvement.

Role

This varied role involves:

1. Supporting the Investments team in reviewing transaction documentation for share acquisitions.
2. Supporting the Group in contract review, drafting, and negotiation.
3. Advising on legal issues related to pensions, investments, WRAPs, and retirement platforms.
4. Creating precedents, checklists, and tools for the legal team to handle corporate law matters confidently.
5. Supporting marketing and product teams with literature and customer communications.
6. Working on strategic change projects.
7. Reviewing policies and procedures to ensure compliance, including data protection and Consumer Duty.

We value cultural contribution highly, but ideally, you will also have:

• Solicitor qualification in the UK with 3-4 years PQE in private equity-backed transactions and right to work in the UK.
• Experience in Financial Services and understanding of FCA and PRA regulations (desirable).
• Strong skills in PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
• Excellent relationship-building, communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage conflicting priorities without compromising quality.
