We are hiring a Head of Prime Finance to join our team. The role will collaborate with the Operations, Treasury, and Risk teams and will be responsible for financing optimisation for the firm’s Prime and Connect businesses.
Responsibilities
- Ensure that CMC firm inventory held at prime brokers, custodians, and other external counterparties is optimized.
- Participate in the build-out of prime system infrastructure.
- Contribute to the Group’s strategic projects.
- Negotiate Prime contracts and pricing.
- Use analytical skills to recommend strategies to optimise prime client assets.
- Develop and implement cash reporting functionalities to enhance transparency in risk management.
- Maintain data integrity for use by other teams within the business.
- Perform ad-hoc tasks as required.
- Engage in personal and professional development to meet evolving role demands, including regulatory and legislative training.
- Provide high-quality, clear, and professional service to customers, clients, and colleagues, reflecting positively on CMC Markets.
- Ensure confidentiality in all dealings.
- Undertake additional duties, training, or work hours as reasonably required, consistent with the role’s responsibilities.
Key Skills and Experience
- Experience managing international cash and FX exposures and related products.
- Knowledge of financial products and markets, including money markets and derivatives.
- Experience with liquidity management for vanilla physical assets, with a strong understanding of cash flows.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency with financial/treasury systems.
- Understanding of risk management strategies.
- Data analysis skills, including interpreting and manipulating data for decision-making.
- Excellent relationship management and communication skills at all levels.
- Proven project management ability, especially in system build-outs and improvements.
- Strategic thinking aligned with broader firm goals.
- Ability to handle ad-hoc tasks and solve problems in a fast-paced environment.
- Proactive in task management and self-development.
- Relevant experience and/or qualifications in Business, Economics, or Accounting.
