Compensation: £12.21 - £13.00 / hour

Description

Our Kitchen Assistants/Team Members are responsible for preparing our food to the highest quality and standards. Their role is crucial in maintaining smooth and efficient kitchen operations.

Opening hours: from 10.00am to 2.00am, Monday to Sunday

What you'll do at Pasta Evangelists:

• Ensure the kitchen is set up and ready for each service with the right amount of prepared Pasta Sauces and ingredients, balancing quick service and food costs, including preparing par levels in the pre-prepared cold delivery fridge.
• Wear a full smart clean uniform and protective clothing as required, maintaining brand standards.
• Adhere to Pasta Evangelists standards to ensure high-quality products for customers.
• Maintain cleanliness and comply with all health, safety, and quality regulations.
• Monitor ingredient availability and inform team leaders in advance.
• Record food information, manage stock rotation (FIFO), and track food wastage accurately.
• Utilize SOPs to maximize food quality and speed of preparation.
• Ensure equipment such as fridges, pasta boilers, ovens, and microwaves are maintained and temperatures are recorded.
• Prepare and cook food according to the 'How to' standards and SOPs.
• Check deliveries, report issues, and store items appropriately.
• Operate the wash-up area effectively, ensuring equipment is cleaned and signage is used during cleaning.
• Dispose of rubbish correctly, following waste management and recycling policies.
• Report equipment defects promptly.
• Follow close-down procedures to prepare the kitchen for the next shift.
• Organize pest checks regularly and report concerns.

Who are you:

• Knowledge of safe food handling, storage, and preparation techniques is preferable.
• Familiarity with basic culinary techniques such as chopping, slicing, and measuring ingredients.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively.
• Meticulous and detail-oriented in food prep, cleaning, and organization.
• Team player with good communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
• Willing to adapt to changing tasks and schedules in a dynamic kitchen environment.
