Job Title: Associate Electronics PCB Design Engineer Ref. 956

Salary: £36,330 - £39,055

Job description

Salary is based on skills assessment at interview.

This is a full-time role (37 hours/week, Monday-Friday) or part-time (minimum 28 hours/week) with flexible hours. The position is office-based.

Are you able to design, build, and test electronic circuits and PCBs? Keen to develop your engineering career? Join our product development team working on security hardware products. You will use your technical knowledge to create and maintain electronic hardware for custom security solutions for domestic and international partners.

You may modify existing designs or collaborate on new product systems. Training and support will help your development, including a training budget for external courses and time allocated for research and innovation.

More About You

You should have:

  • Experience in designing and testing analogue, digital, and microcontroller-based systems.
  • Understanding of product and system design and development.
  • Relevant work experience or qualifications, such as an HND in electrical/electronic engineering.

Beneficial but not essential:

  • Further qualifications in electrical/electronic or mechanical engineering, or a relevant degree (2:2 or higher).
  • Experience with electronic schematic capture and PCB design.
  • Experience in RF design, EMC, and signal integrity.
  • Knowledge of PCB manufacturing processes.

You will be involved in the full product development cycle, creating diverse designs and working with various partners. Creativity, willingness to learn, and determination are key.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Designing, developing, and documenting electronic PCB systems.
  • Verifying designs through testing and peer reviews.
  • Supporting products and investigating defects.
  • Contributing to library parts creation and project planning.
