We currently have an opportunity for a Lead Data and AI Strategist to join the RLAM Data team on a permanent basis in London.

This is a high-impact role within RLAM’s Data Strategy and Transformation team, offering significant visibility across the organisation. As a key driver of RLAM’s data and AI initiatives, you will collaborate with stakeholders at all levels to develop data-driven, AI-enabled solutions aligned with strategic business goals. Reporting directly to the Head of Data Transformation, this position includes line management responsibilities within a talented team consisting of a Data Strategist, a Data Scientist, and two Data & AI Analysts, while also working closely with the RLAM AI Innovation Squad in a matrix structure.

About the role
Data & AI Transformation:
  • Define RLAM’s AI roadmap and identify AI opportunities.
  • Develop data literacy programs and collaborate on the Data Skills Academy.
  • Design and implement the next-generation data function operating model.
  • Build the team’s data methodology and drive the Centre of Excellence.
  • Oversee data and AI infrastructure and architecture.
Data & AI Ethics:
  • Implement data and AI ethics frameworks with RLG.
  • Provide SME knowledge on ethical topics for EU AI act adoption.
Value-Driven Use Cases:
  • Act as a business partner in RLAM Front Office.
  • Understand stakeholder data and AI needs and develop solutions.
  • Drive adoption and communication, focusing on upskilling.
GenAI and ML Model Development:
  • Lead development, training, and evaluation of AI models.
  • Drive evolution of RLAM research agent (r.AI).
  • Build internal knowledge and capability.
  • Stay updated with advancements in data, GenAI, and AI.
  • Support RLAM’s innovation agenda and lead thinking in LLM.
  • Facilitate design thinking workshops to promote innovation.
About you
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as data science, computer science, statistics, or related disciplines.
  • Demonstrable experience in a data-related or data strategy role, with exposure to AI concepts and technologies, including:
    • Experience in stakeholder workshops and use case development.
    • Consultative approach or business acumen experience.
  • Strong understanding of data analysis techniques, statistical analysis, and data visualization.
  • Experience with AI and GenAI concepts, such as machine learning algorithms, deep learning, and natural language processing.
  • Experience with data & AI tools and technologies like Snowflake, SQL, Python, Azure AI, and data visualization platforms (PowerBI or Sigma preferred).
  • Experience working with Agile teams or in a matrix organizational structure.
  • Understanding of data governance and management principles, focusing on ethical considerations in data and AI.
