Our client is a leading scaffolding contractor in the South East seeking an experienced and results-driven Scaffolding Contracts Director.
The successful candidate will oversee multiple scaffolding contracts, ensuring efficient project delivery, maintaining client relationships, driving business growth, and ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee planning, execution, and completion of scaffolding projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest safety standards.
- Lead and manage project teams, including contracts managers, supervisors, and operatives.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships, acting as the key point of contact for negotiations, issue resolution, and customer satisfaction.
- Identify business development opportunities to grow and expand scaffolding contracts.
- Ensure all operations comply with health and safety regulations, industry best practices, and company policies.
- Implement and maintain labour control procedures to optimise workforce efficiency, manage staffing levels, and control project costs.
- Monitor financial performance, manage budgets, costs, and profitability.
- Develop operational strategies to improve efficiency, productivity, and service quality.
- Collaborate with internal teams such as commercial, estimating, and design for seamless project execution.
- Provide leadership, mentoring, and professional development for the scaffolding team.
- Stay updated on industry trends, legislation, and innovations.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience in a senior contracts management role within the scaffolding industry.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent commercial awareness, including contract negotiation and cost management.
- Deep knowledge of scaffolding regulations, health and safety standards, and best practices.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain client relationships.
- Strategic thinking with proactive problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Experience in implementing labour control procedures for operational efficiency.
- Relevant qualifications (e.g., CISRS, SMSTS, NEBOSH) are desirable.
- Full UK driving licence.
