Pay Rate - 14.01 per hour

At Spalding, we have a team of around 540 colleagues. We produce coleslaw, potato salad, salad bar bulk products (2kg), pasta salads, and grains for retailers like Morrisons, Co-op, Asda, Aldi, Sainsbury's, Nando's, and Pizza Hut. Our site features a restaurant with hot food available to staff.

What you'll be doing:

As a Hygiene Operative, you will be responsible for cleaning all food manufacturing areas, equipment, and machinery to meet hygiene standards. Your duties include:

1. Carrying out daily cleaning of factory areas as part of a team
2. Scheduling deep cleaning of large machinery
3. Wearing full PPE such as chemical suits, visors, wellingtons, gloves, and safety goggles
4. Working in chilled and hot environments
5. Filling out paperwork to document cleaning activities
6. Promoting a good health and safety culture
7. Handling and storing chemicals safely
8. Reporting damaged equipment or machinery

What we're looking for:

No prior experience is necessary as training will be provided. A basic understanding of English, both written and verbal, is required. Knowledge of COSHH and HACCP is advantageous but not essential.
