This is an exciting opportunity to join the National Psychology Projects as an Assistant Psychologist, where you will work with a dedicated team to make a real difference in the lives of those with Mental Health. You will have the chance to develop specialist skills and contribute to the growth of psychological projects with Elysium.

This is a 12-month fixed-term contract.

What you will be doing:

As an Assistant Psychologist, you will be responsible for contributing to the delivery of training and undertaking various administrative and research tasks. You will work under the supervision of a Consultant Psychologist who oversees the Psychology Projects.

You will assist with reviewing the current National Psychology Projects to help improve and grow Psychological services across Elysium, initially focusing on the psychology graduate academy content and delivery, the Clinical and Forensic Doctorate, and the CAPs programme. You will also assist in clinically related administration, including audits, collection of statistics, development of research projects, teaching, and minute-taking of key meetings.

As an Assistant Psychologist, you will be:
  • Assisting in designing and delivering specialist training
  • Maintaining clinical databases
  • Completing outcome measures
  • Writing reports for various audiences
  • Conducting service evaluations and research tasks, including collecting, analyzing, and reporting statistics
  • Undertaking clinically relevant audits
To be successful in this role, you will have:
  • An honours degree in Psychology, conferring eligibility for Graduate Membership of the British Psychological Society (BPS)
  • Creative thinking, clinical efficacy, and a strong commitment to evidence-based therapeutic models
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to meet professional practice standards, including HCPC and BPS codes of conduct
  • Experience in office systems and administrative tasks
  • Desirable: Experience working as an Assistant Psychologist in forensic and/or mental health settings
