Job description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated psychology graduate to join us as a Band 4 Assistant Psychologist in adult community psychological services across Mid Essex. This is a valuable opportunity to work within dynamic, multidisciplinary teams and gain experience in Clinical Psychology within the NHS. The position is a 12-month fixed-term contract starting from the date of employment.

Role Responsibilities:
  1. Support qualified staff in developing and delivering therapeutic programmes, and conduct service evaluation projects and audits of therapeutic interventions.
  2. Co-facilitate manualised group therapy programmes.
  3. Assist with clinical assessments, including shadowing and supporting both generic and specialist evaluations.
  4. Provide manualised individual therapy under supervision.
  5. Promote psychological health and wellbeing for service users awaiting intervention.
  6. Under supervision, conduct psychological and wellbeing reviews via phone calls, utilizing protocols, self-report measures, rating scales, and semi-structured interviews.
  7. Assist in collecting clinical data related to throughput, outcomes, and service development.
