Salary:

Point 19 (FTE £31,430) to Point 25 (FTE £34,777). Actual salary £26,193.48 to £29,779.51 depending on qualifications and experience.

Working Pattern:

36 hours per week, 44.65 weeks (Term Time Only)

Nightingale Community Academy is a special school in Wandsworth for 120 boys aged 5 to 19 with social, emotional, and mental health needs.

Primary pupils benefit from a purpose-built classroom hub, outdoor adventure playground, weekly music lessons, and a comprehensive therapy service. Secondary and post-16 students are offered a broad curriculum including vocational courses such as motor vehicle studies, construction, horticulture, and hospitality. All pupils benefit from regular animal therapy at Tom’s Farm, located on the spacious school site.

We seek a motivated and resilient Attendance & Admissions Officer who shares our commitment to supporting every learner’s journey. This role contributes to raising achievement by improving attendance and punctuality, supporting admissions, and working with families to overcome barriers to learning. You will play a key role in safeguarding, tracking persistent absence, and promoting a positive attendance culture across the school.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Contribute to raising achievement by improving school attendance.
  2. Provide a specialist service to assist the school in meeting their obligations and targets related to school attendance, especially persistent absence.
  3. Promote positive attitudes towards education among students and families and ensure parents are fully aware of their statutory responsibilities.
