Our client is a well-established, leading facilities services provider known for delivering top-tier services to a diverse client portfolio. Committed to excellence and high standards, they seek an Operations Manager to oversee their Laundry operations in High Wycombe.

The Operations Manager will be responsible for managing customer sites, working collaboratively with teams to uphold customer promises and standards. You will ensure Site Supervisors, Team Leaders, and Operatives are clear on their duties and deliver services effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Manage, evaluate, motivate, and monitor staff performance based on leadership principles.
  • Operate within a strict department budget to deliver outstanding and efficient performance.
  • Achieve and exceed revenue targets through cross-selling additional services.
  • Meet and surpass contract profit targets through careful financial management.
  • Develop new business supporting strategic growth.
  • Lead and coordinate multiple resources across locations, motivating field teams for efficient operations.
  • Implement practices aligned with company policies, procedures, and HSEQ standards.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Operations Manager to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain quality standards through audits and inspections, providing feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Recruit, onboard, and train new staff to ensure high performance.
  • Comply with health & safety regulations and policies, supporting new system implementation.
  • Proactively address challenges with positive solutions.
  • Lead by example through a hands-on approach when necessary.
  • Ensure correct scheduling, wages, and budgets processing.
  • Support new contract implementation and handovers as directed.

Candidate requirements

  • Experience managing teams and staff.
  • IOSH Managing Safety certification within 12 months; strong knowledge of health & safety.
  • Proficiency in O365.
  • Understanding of cleaning processes and systems.
  • Effective communication skills with clients, both face-to-face and written.
