We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Walsall to assist with the appointment of a Customer Team Leader, on a 3-month contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: £19.41- £24.53 per hour

Summary:

The Customer Team Leader will lead an operational team of customer advisers, ensuring the delivery of outstanding customer experiences aligned with the Councils vision. The role promotes a culture of continuous improvement, digital innovation, and effective people management to meet the evolving needs of the community. The post holder will be instrumental in promoting the values of inclusion, accountability, and professionalism while ensuring service excellence.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support a team of customer advisers, encouraging high performance and professional development.
  • Cultivate a positive working culture that embraces Walsalls values and promotes equality, diversity, and wellbeing.
  • Drive customer satisfaction through effective service delivery and issue resolution.
  • Anticipate service changes, lead adaptation of procedures and champion innovation.
  • Plan and manage allocated budgets and ensure cost-effective procurement.

Qualifications:

  • Educated to Degree/HND level or equivalent experience.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in a supervisory or leadership role within a customer service environment.
  • Demonstrated project management experience.
  • In-depth understanding of effective customer service delivery and improvement strategies.
  • Evidence of continuous professional development.
