Job Title: Associate Electronics PCB Design Engineer Ref. 956

Department: Engineering

Salary: £36,330 - £39,055

Job description

Salary awarded is based on skills assessment at interview.

This role is available full-time for 37 hours per week, Monday-Friday, or part-time with a minimum coverage of 28 hours per week. Flexible or compressed working hours are available.

This role is office-based.

Responsibilities include:

  • Designing, building, and testing electronic circuits and printed circuit boards.
  • Developing hardware for security products in a product development team.
  • Modifying existing designs and collaborating on new product/system designs.
  • Supporting and maintaining electronic hardware for custom security solutions.

Training and development:

  • Training and support to develop in this role.
  • Training budget for external courses.
  • Time allocated for innovation and research.

About You

To qualify, you should have:

  • Experience in design and testing of analogue, digital, and microcontroller-based systems.
  • Understanding of product and system design and development.
  • Relevant work experience or qualifications, such as an HND in electrical/electronic engineering.

Beneficial but not essential:

  • Further qualifications in electrical/electronic or mechanical engineering, or a relevant degree (2:2 or higher).
  • Experience with electronic schematic capture and PCB design.
  • Experience with RF design, EMC, and signal integrity.
  • Knowledge of PCB manufacturing processes.

Role Expectations:

  • Participate in the full product development cycle.
  • Create and document high-quality electronic PCB designs.
  • Verify designs through testing and peer reviews.
  • Support products and investigate defects.
  • Contribute to library parts management and project meetings.
