We are looking for an ambitious, respectful, and commercially aware leader who is not afraid to roll up their sleeves, lead by example, and deliver exceptional results. As a bar manager, you will be a role model for RedCat employees, guiding and coaching your team to deliver outstanding products and services with integrity and passion. You share the courteous and hospitable values of your Senior Managers, which will cascade down through your team and to our customers.

Being accountable for and proud of your department, you will grow a caring team that works collaboratively with back-of-house and the rest of the team to achieve our shared goals of an outstanding customer experience. Understanding how this contributes to RedCat’s profitability and growth is essential.

You will plan your shifts meticulously, constantly monitor cleanliness, health and safety, licensing compliance, and staffing levels, and seek continual improvement in creative ways.

Key Responsibilities
  • Team enabler - Encourage and support a culture of learning, development, and talent retention by coaching team members, maintaining courtesy under pressure, and assisting with appraisals.
  • Let’s grow together - Be commercially aware of what it takes to grow a business and increase profitability through effective marketing and valuing customer feedback. Be responsible for controllable costs and staffing levels.
  • Positive attitude - Provide surprises and moments of care to the team and customers, remaining calm and considerate even under pressure.
  • Compliance management - Demonstrate diligence in health and safety, allergen awareness, and risk assessments according to RedCat policies.
  • Customer focus - Be approachable, calm, and friendly, even during busy times.
  • Product expertise - Know everything about our offerings, from garnished gin and tonics to Instagram-worthy table settings.
  • Venue maintenance - Ensure the venue remains warm, welcoming, tidy, and safe, communicating issues clearly to senior management.
  • Stock and cash handling - Use EPOS and other systems confidently to manage stock, cash, and rotas, and take responsibility for security, wastage, profit margins, and licensing law during your shift.
