Production Operative Night Shift

Chemring Countermeasures is a world-leading and innovative company, designing and developing countermeasure solutions for armed forces worldwide. As part of the Chemring Group, we have a robust global infrastructure that supports our growth.

The Production Operative will be required to multi-skill across process areas to support production output.

Responsibilities

1. Follow process instructions to assist in achieving daily output
2. Follow all health and safety procedures
3. Wear full PPE as required
4. Weigh, fill, and press Squib Cartridges
5. Manufacture and prepare Chaff products
6. Assemble Flares
7. Ensure compliance with health and safety training
8. Perform quality control on all products
9. Handle pyrotechnic products safely

Candidate Specification

1. Right to work in the UK, with the ability to obtain BPSS clearance
2. Ability to wear full PPE
3. Experience in a similar environment
4. Knowledge of safety procedures

This role involves working 4 days a week, 40 hours per week, from Sunday to Thursday, 23:00 to 07:15. Flexibility is essential to support the team.

The salary ranges from £23,196.16 to £26,360.88, plus a shift premium of 33%.

Shift Levels and Basic Rates

• Level 1 (0-6 months service): £13.12
• Level 2 (6-12 months service): £13.70
• Level 3 (12 months or more): £14.91
