An exciting opportunity for a dynamic Estates Professional to join the Property Services Team as an Estates Surveyor/Valuer. This role involves managing the Council’s diverse property portfolio, including retail and leisure premises, to maximize revenue and effectiveness.
f you are a dynamic Estates Professional, we have an exciting opportunity for you to become a key member of our Property Services Team as an Estates Surveyor/ Valuer. As a GP surveyor, you will contribute to the effective portfolio management of the Council’s property estate and for delivering a range of professional property services.
Duties will include acquisitions, disposals, valuations, lettings and marketing, landlord and tenant, regeneration and management.
The Council has an extensive and diverse property portfolio, which includes retail, light industrial, offices, and leisure premises located around the borough, but mainly within the urban areas of King’s Lynn, Hunstanton and Downham Market.
Our commercial portfolio is particularly important as it generates significant revenue, and it therefore needs to be proactively managed. You will be a key player in the team and have a significant role in helping us to maximise the outputs from the Council’s commercial assets.
You will have a RICS accredited degree with member level status of the RICS, together with experience in valuation/property management and knowledge of the national and local property market. Effective communication skills with the ability to work on your own initiative as well as part of a small team are also important. Based in the attractive heart of Kings Lynn, you will need a full driving licence with access to a vehicle as travel around the Borough will be required.
