Job Title: Human Resources Manager - UK

Scope of the Function
The HR Manager (UK) will lead the UK HR Function and be an integral part of the Global HR Leadership Team. The HR Manager (UK) will be responsible for all in-country HR activities, throughout the entire employee lifecycle. In addition, the HR Manager (UK) will lead or contribute to many of the Global HR Centre of Excellence activities. The role will require both strategic and tactical thinking and operation, acting as a partner to our senior managers and leaders, ensuring the company’s strategic objectives are achieved.
The HR Manager (UK) will play a vital role in our organisation by ensuring compliance, fostering positive employee relations, embedding our culture and values, and driving performance excellence. The HR Manager (UK) will foster and embed continuous improvement within the team, in line with the Company ethos and ways of working. Establishing and maintaining strong and collaborative working relationships with all personnel, fellow HR team members, and other business areas will be critical to this role.
This highly impactful role will report to the Global Director of Human Resources with a dotted line into the Site Leader at Hampton Park West (HPW).
Although based in Melksham, there may be requirements for occasional travel globally and to our other UK site in Poole. The role is full time (36.5 hours per week across 5 days).
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and lead the UK people strategy, aligning with the Global approach
- Lead the UK HR team, developing, coaching and mentoring team members.
- Lead all aspects of the HR lifecycle including recruitment, onboarding, benefits and overseeing payroll
- Collaborate with UK leadership team members to develop a high-performance culture that aligns with the company and site's operational goals.
- Establish a coaching and feedback culture in the UK, providing coaching and feedback training to managers and employees.
- Drive forward a step change in employee engagement, including leading employee engagement initiatives and implementing improvements informed by the employee engagement survey feedback.
- Advise senior stakeholders on all ER issues, including leading on complex ER cases including performance management
- Drive forward effective recruitment based on forward workforce plans
- Lead and/or support, where required, global centre of excellence initiatives, transformation and projects.
- Foster a positive work environment by addressing employee concerns, conflicts, and grievances. Promoting open communication and resolving issues promptly.
- Utilise data insights to inform strategic decisions
Background And Skills
- CIPD minimum L5, ideally L7, or degree in human resources, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years HR experience at senior level, preferably in the manufacturing industry
- Experience working in a high-volume, fast-paced, dynamic environment with the ability to
- adapt to changing priorities.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations, with experience of Unions
- Experience of Data Analytics and driving business through insights desirable.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, stakeholder management and conflict resolution
- skills.
- Proficiency in HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems), preferably ADP and Microsoft
- Office Suite.
- Ability to work off hours (early mornings/nights/weekends) occasionally as needed to
- support all shifts and/ or business requirements.
