Full Stack Engineer

Birmingham, UK

£55,000 - £70,000 DOE

Our client is a long-established digital transformation partner to public sector and defence organisations, delivering innovative platforms that power secure, data-driven solutions. As they expand their delivery teams, they are now looking for a Full Stack Engineer with strong experience in JavaScript and React.js.

This is a great opportunity for a Full Stack Engineer to work in a cross-functional team building end-to-end solutions that deliver both robust backend logic and intuitive, user-focused frontends. You will help drive forward modern engineering practices in a cloud-native, Agile environment.

Your Responsibilities as a Full Stack Engineer Will Include

1. Designing and building high-performance web applications using React.js and JavaScript
2. Developing and consuming APIs to support front-end/backend integration
3. Writing clean, modular code with a focus on reusability and maintainability
4. Contributing to sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives in a fast-paced Agile setup
5. Supporting deployment processes and working with DevOps to enable CI/CD workflows

Your Experience as a Full Stack Engineer Should Demonstrate

1. Strong hands-on experience with JavaScript and React.js
2. Understanding of component-based UI design, state management, and modern JS libraries
3. Exposure to backend frameworks such as Spring Boot, or similar
4. Experience working in a cloud environment and familiarity with CI/CD tools
5. The ability to thrive in collaborative environments and take ownership of delivery outcomes
