Medicspot is an award-winning startup addressing the global obesity epidemic through our GLP-1 weight loss programmes.

Obesity is one of the most pressing health issues of our time, causing over 2.8 million deaths annually. The worldwide prevalence of obesity nearly tripled between 1975 and 2016. Today, almost 3⁄4 of adults aged 45-74 in England are overweight or obese.

Our engineering team plays a crucial role in building scalable, reliable systems that make sustainable weight loss accessible to thousands of patients. Who are you?

Medicspot software is built with developer friendliness and productivity in mind. We like products to be beautiful inside and out. We create clean, consistent react and node architectures for web apps and API services.

You should be experienced and flexible when designing and creating backend services, single page apps, and databases. You'll have the chance to take ownership of key projects, work closely with our Lead Engineer, and grow alongside our expanding team.

We're a Typescript house front and back. Good experience with SOA, JS, testing, docker, HTML5, accessible UX are all highly desirable.

The Medicspot system is made up of many individual products that work together to power the service our patients love. We're looking for a full stack developer who can gel as part of the wider team and offer support in a variety of capacities.

Hopefully you like:

• Chipping in with different disciplines and helping the wider team
• Well defined and simple module/app concerns and interfaces
• TS (nextjs, node)

• Flat service oriented architectures (REST, JWT)

Essential skills:
