Job Title: Associate Electronics PCB Design Engineer Ref. 956

Department: Engineering

Salary: £36,330 - £39,055

Job description

Salary awarded is based on skills assessment at interview.

This role is available full-time for 37 hours per week, Monday-Friday, or part-time with a minimum coverage of 28 hours per week. Flexible or compressed working hours are available.

This role is office-based.

Responsibilities include:

  • Designing, building, and testing electronic circuits and printed circuit boards.
  • Working within a product development team on hardware products and security solutions.
  • Creating and maintaining electronic hardware for custom security products to meet partner needs domestically and internationally.
  • Modifying existing designs and collaborating on new product/system designs.
  • Receiving training and support, including a training budget for external courses, and dedicating time to innovation and research.

About You

To be suitable for this role, you should have:

  • Experience in the design and testing of analogue, digital, and microcontroller-based systems.
  • Understanding of product and system design and development.
  • Relevant work experience or qualifications, such as an HND in electrical/electronic engineering.

Beneficial but not essential qualifications include:

  • Further qualifications in electrical/electronic or mechanical engineering, or a relevant degree with a 2:2 or higher.
  • Experience with electronic schematic capture and PCB design.
  • Experience in RF design, EMC, and signal integrity.
  • Knowledge of PCB manufacturing processes.

Using Your Skills

You will be involved in the full product development cycle, designing and documenting electronic PCB systems, verifying designs, supporting products, and contributing to project planning.
