Responsibilities
  1. Utilize engineering records, maintenance planning, and engineering deliverables to order parts and/or materials required to execute maintenance work.
  2. Create purchase requisitions as needed to order parts and/or materials.
  3. Provide timely updates to maintenance planners and schedulers on the status of ordered parts and/or materials.
  4. Work with Procurement to expedite parts and/or materials as needed.
  5. Pick-up and deliver items inside the facility and/or off-site facilities.
  6. Participate in maintenance planning and scheduling meetings to understand current work priority.
  7. Kit and stage parts and/or materials; ensure staging areas are clean, organized, and only contain items related to scheduled work.
  8. Monitor inventory of vendor stocked parts and/or materials in assigned areas and coordinate replenishment to maintain minimum stocking levels.
  9. Recommend changes to stocking levels for vendor stocked parts and/or materials based on usage trends and forecasted heavy use periods.
  10. Inspect received parts and/or materials to ensure they meet specifications.
  11. Coordinate the repairable spares process for assigned areas.
  12. Participate in strategic and continuous improvement initiatives.
  13. Provide professional written and verbal communication to all team members.
  14. Provide courteous customer service for both internal and external customers.
  15. Perform other related duties as designated by supervision.
  16. Computer Skills: Word, Excel, SAP.
Qualifications
  1. Minimum 2 years of experience ordering mechanical or electrical parts.
  2. Valid state motor vehicle driver's license.
  3. High School Diploma/GED.
  4. Proficient in Word and Excel.
  5. Knowledge of Maintenance processes.
  6. Stable progressive work history.
  7. Ability to easily identify mechanical and electrical parts in staging process.
  8. Effective communication skills with a broad range of people.
  9. Exercise principles of safety.
  10. Good judgment and dependability.
  11. Initiative and resourcefulness.
  12. Remain calm during emergencies.
  13. Team player in a diverse work group.
  14. Curious and eager to understand equipment and processes.
  15. Ability to plan and handle many details.
  16. Ability to work with limited supervision.
Preferred Qualifications
  1. More than 2 years of experience ordering mechanical or electrical parts.
  2. More than 2 years of Maintenance Mechanic or Electrician experience.
  3. SAP experience.
