Job Title: Data Screener (Remote, Fixed Term - 9 months)

About the Role

Reviewing data is a crucial part of our automated analytical services at Detectronic. Based at our Data Centre, we monitor near real-time data to provide screening, analysis, and intervention reporting services. Our goal is to help reduce flooding, prevent sewer overflows, and protect watercourses from pollution.

About You

We seek someone with excellent analytical skills, understanding of IT systems (especially Microsoft Office), and strong interpersonal skills. As this is a remote role, self-motivation and organization are essential. You will monitor and analyze incoming Flow, Level, and Weather Data daily, review system outputs against historical data, and issue Client Action Reports. Knowledge of hydrology and hydraulics is a plus but training will be provided.

You should have a keen eye for detail, a positive attitude, and interest in environmental improvement. Ability to communicate findings clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders is important. Experience in a similar role is required; specialist training will be provided as needed.

Work Details
  • Work hours: 6am to 12pm, 30 hours/week, 5 days out of 7, including weekends
  • Training: conducted at Nelson office or via Teams
