Matchtech is supporting the recruitment of x2 Senior Schedulers to work with a key client on high-profile railway projects in Toronto.
This role requires full relocation to Toronto, Canada for successful candidates.
Main Duties:
This role reports to the Head of Planning. The key responsibilities include:
- Leading the development and implementation of the project's planning and construction strategies across the corridor.
- Collaborating with project teams and external stakeholders to optimize construction sequencing, logistics, and resource allocation.
- Conducting feasibility studies and impact assessments to ensure effective planning and staging of construction activities.
- Coordinating with various teams to develop construction schedules, phasing plans, and mitigation measures.
- Planning of engineering trains, access, and possessions; reducing possession-related costs and increasing the efficiency of engineering access.
- Attending planning meetings to ensure effective planning, safety, and maximum performance of engineering possessions.
- Chairing Integration, Deconfliction, and Readiness meetings for engineering possessions.
- Monitoring and updating the project's planning and staging activities based on changing requirements and constraints.
Profile/Skills:
- Minimum seven (7) years of experience in construction planning and staging for large infrastructure projects, preferably in the railway industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction sequencing, logistics planning, and resource management.
- Familiarity with construction methodologies, safety regulations, and environmental considerations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
