Person specificationQualificationsEssential criteria- Eligibility to register as a clinical/counselling psychologist with the HCPC.
Desirable criteria- Training in one or more additional specialised areas of psychological relevance (e.g. neuropsychology, a specific therapeutic modality).
- Completion of a recognised UK DClin course organised supervisor training programme for the specific supervision of DClin psychologists in clinical training
ExperienceEssential criteria- Experience of specialist psychological & neuropsychological assessment and treatment of older people and those with psychological difficulties in the context of an organic presentation (mainly dementia), across a range of care settings
Desirable criteria- Significant experience of diagnostic neuropsychological assessment and relevant cognitive rehabilitation interventions
SkillsEssential criteria- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
ExperienceEssential criteria- Skills in providing consultation to other professional and non-professional groups.
- Ability to teach and train others, using a variety of complex multi-media materials, suitable for presentations within public, professional and academic settings
Desirable criteria- Experience of supervision of other psychologist and non-psychologist colleagues
