Introduction:
As Global Research Director, you will be the new face for our second largest client, which owns many brands across different alcohol beverage categories (rum, gin, whiskey, cognac, vermouth, sparkling wine, etc.). This is a great opportunity to lead a large global account.

With over 10+ years of experience, you will focus on delighting our clients, team management, and program delivery across the account globally. We run a large Tracking Program for this client as well as ad hoc projects worldwide. With your extensive tracking and team management experience, you will strive for excellent research processes and delivery while working closely with the commercial, research, and operations teams.

You will manage a team of Research Managers (based in US/UK) and will be responsible for delivering all research projects from design to results. You will build and maintain an engaging, supportive team of capable and ambitious researchers. You should demonstrate your ability to add value and act as a consultant to clients, advising on the right research approach for their business questions. You will have full ownership of the quality of work conducted, driving preference for Toluna and upskilling the research team.

You will be supported by a highly invested manager and will partner closely with Client Directors and peers. Together, you will deliver smart proposals and sharp, action-oriented insights to the client.


Responsibilities:
Team:
  • Responsible for successful recruitment & retention of talent
  • Ensure team efficiency and quality output
  • Build and maintain relationships within Toluna
  • Initiate team meetings, trainings, and new initiatives
  • Maintain a positive culture, lead by example, and organize team events
  • Manage daily team activities, development, and happiness
  • Organize internal training sessions based on team needs
  • Mentor team members to develop strong researchers
  • Regularly connect with project teams for support and learning opportunities

Client/Account:

  • Manage research costs versus account revenue
  • Present findings and lead discussions/workshops with clients alongside the Client Director
  • Establish and maintain global research processes and connectivity among research managers
  • Maintain a global view of all client studies
  • Update local/regional teams on account developments in each market

Research and Market Knowledge:

  • Maintain and improve the Tracking Program, optimize surveys, and reports
  • Align and integrate data delivery across trackers
  • Lead digital data delivery initiatives
  • Deep dive into research data for insights and trends
  • Ensure consistency and quality of deliverables
  • Monitor quality and revise processes as needed
  • Stay updated on industry trends and innovations

Your Profile:
