This role involves partnering closely with our R&D clinical operations team and other R&D functional stakeholders to facilitate robust study planning, clinical trial costing, long-range planning, annual budgeting, and continuous forecasting. You will also collaborate with external vendors to establish and manage precise financial forecasts.

Your contributions will ensure efficient allocation of capital by providing financial insights into the Clinical Development Plan (CDP) and delivering accurate study cost estimates. This role offers exciting career growth opportunities, including taking ownership of late-stage R&D program financials, engaging in strategic financial planning, supporting business development initiatives, and presenting insights to senior leadership.

What You’ll Do

  1. Manage forecasting needs for early-stage clinical assets, ensuring alignment across key business stakeholders.
  2. Utilize analytics and benchmarks to produce accurate, high-quality study models that are regularly updated.
  3. Meet corporate timelines and processes associated with forecasts, including AOP, LRP, and quarterly interim reports.
  4. Analyze historical spend to identify financial inefficiencies, propose cost containment solutions, and recommend areas for improvement.
  5. Maintain fiscal vigilance on program spend and trends, supporting business planning partners as needed.
  6. Serve as a key financial partner to study teams and Global Clinical Operations stakeholders.

You are an independent thinker with a creative mindset, an eye for detail, and a pragmatic ability to focus on the most impactful priorities.

Required Skills

  • 3+ years of work experience in finance or a highly analytical function.
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
