We are currently seeking an experienced Clinical Lead Nurse in East Anglia, covering Norfolk and Suffolk. Join our friendly, supportive team where no two days are the same. This community-based role involves working in schools and local communities, mentoring junior staff, and leading nurses to ensure safe and effective vaccination practices. You will play a vital role in increasing vaccination uptake among this age group and will be supported by a network of Clinical Leads and the Clinical Director, allowing autonomy and support to excel.

JOB DETAILS:

Job title: Deputy Clinical Lead

Contract: Fixed Term until 31st December 2025

Working Hours: 08:30 – 16:30, Monday to Friday

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

The postholder will assist the Clinical Lead in ensuring that Vaccination UK’s immunisation programme complies with CQC guidance and standards, maintaining high clinical standards among nurses.

WHO YOU'LL BE:

  • Ensure children vaccinated are treated professionally with patient safety prioritized
  • Monitor vaccination programs for safety and standards
  • Support management in delivering the vaccination program, maintaining contact with clinical staff
  • Manage safeguarding concerns, escalate when necessary, and attend supervision sessions
  • Act as a clinical contact and deputize for the Clinical Lead as needed
  • Support compliance, staff training, recruitment, and incident management
  • Assess clinical competencies and ensure proper induction for new staff
  • Document training and incidents accurately
  • Collaborate with leadership to optimize patient safety and organizational learning
  • Assist in recruiting nursing staff, assigning mentors, and onboarding new staff
