Vaccination UK delivers the school-aged immunisation programme for NHS England across large areas of England, including North London. Our mission is to protect the next generation from diseases like HPV, influenza, polio, and meningitis. We are looking for an experienced Clinical Lead Nurse in Essex to join our friendly, supportive team. In this community-based role, you will work in schools and communities, mentor junior staff, and lead nurses to ensure safe and effective vaccination delivery. You will play a key role in increasing vaccination uptake and will be supported by a network of Clinical Leads and the Clinical Director, with autonomy to manage your role effectively.

Job Details

• Job title: Deputy Clinical Lead
• Contract: Fixed Term until 31st December 2025
• Working Hours: 08:30 – 16:30, Monday to Friday

Responsibilities

• Assist and collaborate with the Clinical Lead to ensure immunisation programme compliance with CQC standards
• Support management in delivering the vaccination programme, ensuring staff adhere to policies and standards
• Manage safeguarding concerns, escalate as needed, and attend supervision sessions
• Act as a clinical contact, deputise for the Clinical Lead, and support compliance and training activities
• Assess clinical competencies, oversee inductions, and document training sessions
• Ensure accurate recording of incidents and support organisational learning
• Assist in recruiting nursing staff and overseeing their induction and mentorship
