The Role
Reporting to the Engineering Manager and working across two sites, you will play a key role in maintaining, improving, and optimising production equipment and systems. You'll work collaboratively within the engineering team to:
Carry out hands-on planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
Identify root causes of breakdowns and implement effective corrective actions
Contribute to ongoing improvements in plant productivity and efficiency
Maintain accurate records of faults and repairs to support long-term reliability
Uphold health and safety standards at all times
About You
We're looking for a multi-skilled engineer with:
NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering (e.g. ONC, BTEC Level 3)
Strong knowledge of FMCG production systems, including conveyors, motors, pumps, and packaging equipment
Proficiency in fault finding and repair of both mechanical and electrical systems
A proactive, problem-solving mindset and commitment to equipment reliability
Understanding of HACCP principles
Ideally, certification to17th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations
Excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and a strong work ethic
