Contract: Permanent 4 days per week (including Saturday rotation)

The Role

Reporting to the Engineering Manager and working across two sites, you will play a key role in maintaining, improving, and optimising production equipment and systems. You'll work collaboratively within the engineering team to:

• Carry out hands-on planned preventative maintenance (PPM)

• Identify root causes of breakdowns and implement effective corrective actions

• Contribute to ongoing improvements in plant productivity and efficiency

• Maintain accurate records of faults and repairs to support long-term reliability

• Uphold health and safety standards at all times

About You

We're looking for a multi-skilled engineer with:

• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering (e.g. ONC, BTEC Level 3)

• Strong knowledge of FMCG production systems, including conveyors, motors, pumps, and packaging equipment

• Proficiency in fault finding and repair of both mechanical and electrical systems

• A proactive, problem-solving mindset and commitment to equipment reliability

• Understanding of HACCP principles

• Ideally, certification to17th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations

• Excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and a strong work ethic
