Salary: £23,000-£26,000, dependent on experience and qualifications.

Apprenticeship Course: Information Communications Technician (level 3) or Digital and Technology Solutions Professional (level 6 - degree level)

As an IT Infrastructure Apprentice, you will support IT services across regional Truck & Bus Centres and offices, managing technical administration and supporting hardware installation and maintenance. You will work closely with a team of 4 across 18 sites, gaining practical experience.

On-the-job training and mentorship will be provided to develop your skills and help you achieve a degree-level apprenticeship qualification.

What you'll do:

• Respond to user enquiries and provide technical assistance, troubleshooting hardware and software issues both in person and remotely.
• Assist in installing and configuring hardware, software, and networking equipment under guidance.
• Help develop and maintain documentation such as system configurations and user manuals.
• Participate in projects like Windows 11 migration and WiFi network upgrades across 18 sites.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies to recommend improvements.
• Manage technical administration for new starters and leavers in IT systems.

Who are you?

You should have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, advanced Microsoft 365 knowledge (Excel is advantageous), and effective communication, numerical, and project management skills. You need:

• A driver’s license.
• GCSE or A-level qualifications; additional IT certifications are advantageous (not degree level).
• A strong interest in IT, computers, and networking.
• Basic understanding of hardware, operating systems, and common software.
• Familiarity with networking concepts like TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and wireless tech.
• Commitment to confidentiality and data security.
• Knowledge of IT environments and networked services.
