Counter Terrorism Policing (CTP) is a collaboration of UK police forces working to keep people safe from terrorism. At the regional level, Counter Terrorism Policing West Midlands (CTPWM) coordinates the counter terrorist response and provides specialist support to police forces in Staffordshire, Warwickshire, West Mercia, and the West Midlands.
The Protect and Prepare team within CTP West Midlands (WM) strengthens protection against a terrorist attack in the UK or overseas interests to reduce vulnerability. The team also mitigates the impact of an incident, including rapid response and recovery efforts.
Based in our modern offices near Birmingham International Airport, as a CT Training Officer, you'll work Monday to Friday during office hours with some flexibility required for operational needs.
Your responsibilities include designing, developing, coordinating, delivering, and evaluating training courses to equip Police Staff and Officers across West Midlands Police and Regional Forces with essential skills. This includes IT systems training, Counter Terrorism Awareness, and Investigative training.
You will ensure training delivery meets the Force's needs through appropriate methods and support other departmental areas including testing and exercising.
This role requires British nationality (some dual nationalities may be ineligible) and an enhanced Security Check clearance. Additional security checks are necessary, and employment is conditional upon obtaining these clearances. Travel restrictions to certain countries may apply.
