Job description

Support Volunteer Officer Role at Pioneering Care Partnership

We are committed to supporting, promoting, and developing voluntary and community action in Middlesbrough. Pioneering Care Partnership (PCP) is recruiting for a Volunteer Officer.

The Adult Wellbeing Services in County Durham aim to reduce health inequalities and enhance health and wellbeing outcomes for residents and workers. Key services include Wellbeing For Life, Joining the Dots, Cancer Awareness, NHS Health Checks, and Health Squads. These services are commissioned by Durham County Council and delivered through a partnership between PCP and County Durham and Darlington NHS Trust.

The Volunteer Officer will work within the Community and Quality team, collaborating across Adult Wellbeing Services (AWS) locality teams to develop and support a network of community wellbeing hubs. The role involves promoting wellbeing, volunteering opportunities, and pathways.

We are seeking candidates with:

  • Experience in community work or volunteering, with the ability to relate to diverse backgrounds.
  • Experience in recruiting, managing, and supporting volunteers.
  • Experience in partnership and collaborative working, building relationships across various settings.
  • Skills in listening, influencing, negotiating, and motivating individuals regarding wellbeing behaviors.
  • Knowledge of asset-based community development.
