Job Description:

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK, employing around 40,000 staff across various clinical and non-clinical roles. We provide acute hospital, primary, community, and mental health services to over 1.15 million people, expanding to 2.2 million with regional and national services.

We have 2 permanent positions available: 1 full-time and 1 part-time (22.2 hours). The shift pattern is various, Monday to Friday, 08:30-16:30. Please note, the salary is pro-rata for part-time hours.

The Public Dental Service - Dental Nurse role is based in the Greater Glasgow & Clyde area. It involves supporting clinicians in diverse settings, including pediatrics, adult care, domiciliary visits, emergency care, outreach clinics, theatres, prisons, schools, and the National Dental Inspection Programme (NDIP), ensuring effective and safe patient care.

Post holders will be required to cover multiple locations across the NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde area due to service needs.

Applicants must hold a recognized Dental Nursing Qualification and be registered with the General Dental Council as a Dental Nurse. Desirable qualifications include knowledge of R4 Clinical Plus (Electronic Patient Management System) and a qualification in Inhalation Sedation.
