CMA is currently working with an international business in Eastleigh, Hampshire, which has established a strong reputation within its industry sector. The role of the Assistant Management Accountant involves supporting the UK Finance Manager in all aspects of financial accounting and analysis across multiple sites, contributing to the business's commercial decisions. This varied role includes elements of financial and management accounting.

What will the Assistant Management Accountant role involve?

1. Assist in preparing monthly accounts to trial balance and submit to corporate within deadlines, including journal postings.
2. Prepare performance reports explaining key variances to budget and KPIs.
3. Ensure timely completion of all balance sheet reconciliations and advise the UK finance manager on actions to rectify outstanding balances.
4. Manage accruals, prepayments, and the fixed assets register.
5. Assist with cycle count procedures and understand any discrepancies.
6. Prepare budgets and forecasts, and support the year-end financial audit process.
